Aux Heater And The Car Wash

Finally replaced the brushes in my pump and thoroughly skinned my knuckles refitting it. Still no joy with it firing up,akways has been intermittant

Thought id give the bus a treat and wash it

Pulked out of the wash and there it was burning away merrily. Then i remembered this has happened before,same carwash tho on the way to work

Seems to suggest a wiring fault but where do you guys reckon it could be? Front scuttle nr the temp sensor or underneath around the burner itself? That seems unlikely to me due to it location high up underneath

 

Or should i just move closer to that wash:-)

I should add my next move is to chuck a gallon of water over the bottom ns of the windscreen and see what happens

The large red cable in the multiplug to the heater is prone to corroding and breaking off, this will also cause a no response from controller when using VCDS
